Use cases
Jobs where this local tool earns its keep. Each names the role, the task before the deadline, the steps, and what done looks like.
1. Platform engineer inventorying many services still on 20220603
Who: A feature-flag / platform engineer owning several services that share LaunchDarkly REST clients.
Task: Before 2026-12-31, find every place still pinned to 20220603 and produce one migration ticket instead of five tribal chats.
Steps: Grep for LD-API-Version and old tokens; open the home checklist with axis A = still; mark pagination and Users honestly; copy Markdown; attach the official guide; schedule header or token bumps with owners.
Result: A single pack covering version → pagination → Contexts so Dec 31 is not discovered the morning after EOL.
2. Integration owner fixing truncated flag lists after moving to 20240415
Who: An API integration engineer whose nightly flag sync suddenly returns only the first page.
Task: Add limit/offset loops and respect max page sizes so full inventories return after the breaking pagination change.
Steps: Answer axis B = missing; implement offset loops; smoke against a large project; re-export the pack as done evidence.
Result: List jobs complete full pages without silent truncation once 20240415 is enforced.
3. Team retiring Users API calls before they fail
Who: A feature-flag API engineer still calling Users search or User settings endpoints.
Task: Map each call to Contexts / Context settings equivalents and remove dead filters before clients break.
Steps: Use axis C = still; follow Users→Contexts guidance; delete removed filters; smoke Contexts search; keep the Markdown in the change ticket.
Result: No client remains on removed Users endpoints when version 20240415 is required.
